How to make a dragon tattoo stencil
A dragon is a long body plus a lot of repeating detail — scales, spines, whiskers, claws — and that repetition is what wrecks a careless stencil. At high Line detail every scale becomes its own closed outline and the printed sheet turns into noise. Pull detail down until you are left with the body line, the head, the limbs and the major spine ridges; scales are shading work that belongs on skin, not on transfer paper.
Dragons are almost always big and almost always wrapped around a limb, so one sheet rarely holds the whole design. Print the head at full size to check the face reads, then let your artist scale the body around the arm or back. Mirror matters more than usual here: a dragon that faces the wrong way after transfer changes the whole composition, so tick Mirror only if you are using thermal transfer paper and want the printed direction preserved on skin.
