How to make a snake tattoo stencil
A snake is one long continuous curve wrapped in scale texture, and those two things want opposite settings. The body line needs to survive; the scales do not. Pull Line detail down until the scale grid drops away and you are left with the outline, the belly-scale divisions and the head. Artists shade scales freehand anyway — a stencil that tries to include them just gets ignored.
Snakes are the classic wrap motif: forearm, calf, upper arm, sometimes the whole spine.
